If you are missing multiple teeth, Dr. Chris may recommend dentures to replace them and restore your smile. Dentures are an effective and affordable method to replace your missing teeth, and thanks to advances in dentistry, they are more comfortable, natural-looking and functional than ever before.

The majority of dentures are a type of removable oral appliance. Dentures may also be fixed on dental implants to provide greater stability. They are custom designed to fit your mouth and smile, and consist of prosthetic teeth set into a plastic base. Dentures may periodically require maintenance or repairs to keep them functioning properly. Each time you visit Smile Moderne, our dentist will check your dentures to ensure that they are in good condition and determine if they require any maintenance.

Smile Moderne offers several types of dentures, including complete and partial dentures and Valplast® flexible partials.

Complete Dentures

Complete dentures replace an entire arch of teeth. They may replace the upper arch, the lower arch or both arches. Complete dentures are typically provided after all teeth have been removed and you have had time to heal, though they may also be provided immediately following the extraction of your teeth and adjusted as your mouth heals (a type of complete denture known as an “immediate denture”).

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are used when you are missing some teeth but still have some healthy teeth remaining. Partials typically use a framework or clasps to attach to your natural teeth and provide a stable fit for your appliance.

Valplast® Flexible Partial

Valplast® flexible partials are metal-free dentures designed to fit comfortably and discreetly in your mouth. A Valplast® denture is custom-made to blend seamlessly with your surrounding teeth. They are highly pliable and durable – in fact, they are famous for being unbreakable – and provide you with a lighter weight and more comfortable appliance. Valplast dentures are ideal for replacing front teeth and providing an aesthetic result.

When you receive dentures, our dentist will provide you with instructions on how to care for your appliance and keep it in good condition.
